Super excited to welcome more and more cherubs on board this beautiful ship! We set sail for Prague very soon, a fistful of love songs to hand, our course true, and fueled in great part by your love… and by your love of my Special Things, which are now available on this website when you select the Store button!

The Orchard perfumes were officially launched by my dear friends at Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs last night, and today I wrapped them ready to roll. Many, many magical perfume oils ready to go to happy homes already, less than 24 hours after the launch, and I’m sure there are many more to follow!

Please share this page, your support is truly valuable to the making of this extraordinary record.

I am so grateful and in awe of the power of my angels and cherubs…
Thank you!!!!!

xxxxx Ysanne

P.S. Also, amazing lucid angelic dreams last night, more details gifted to me about the string arrangements I’m writing, and today more beauty!

Finished the re-score for Cover #1 this week, and finally getting around to writing an instrumental track for the orchestra. Making time for it all by sacrificing my weekend, but actually, that’s my standard approach to the weekend. That’s how I get so much done, by doing it!

I’ve been awash with admin details again this week, with three days on the road in Utah earlier this week, and a bunch of logistics to figure out for the past few days.

Good news is that I have confirmed a date for the orchestra recording session in Prague! Yes!!!

Still need to find accommodation et cetera! But the date is on, and it’s definitely happening in Prague, and it’s at a seriously amazing recording studio.

All my conductor friend said when he heard was “oh wow!” so you can imagine, it’s pretty amazing…

I started working towards two music videos this week, as well, both of which I am very excited about creatively.

Video #1 has already been shot!!!!!!!!!
More about that soon.

Video #2 will take longer to plan and shoot…

Today was Day One of the true creation, looking for a suitable dress.

Which one of these do you think is the one??! Friends have been voting on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram today, but the votes so far are pretty even for all three! And my pal Rynda also posted a comment that she may have the dress for me!

All very fun…

Salt Lake City, Utah. Three days, flown out to play a private event for Nordstrom. The three Nordstrom brothers were there, the youngest generation of this family business. We’re focused in very different areas of life, me and them, but their approach to their lives is not unlike my own. The pursuit of excellence, a celebration of beauty, and their expression of gratitude to the people who connect with us, which in my case are my listeners, and in their case are their customers.

Their invitation to have me perform at a spectacular new store opening is going to be invested in… yes, you guessed: the orchestra session! I’m so grateful for Nordstrom’s support of my album in this way!

And also, the plane trip to a fro was spent hunched over my laptop, ear monitors in ears, typing up the score to Cover #1, which I realise needs some tweaks. I’m on it.

I saw my friend Ted when I was there, a man who is lending a big helping hand with the orchestra and happens by strange coincidence to be based in Salt Lake City. He’s one of the good people…

‘Roses’ 21 March 2012

I’m honoured to announce the World Premiere of legendary Butoh dancer Vangeline’s new performance choreographed to my song, Roses.

The premiere will take place on Thursday March 22 at The Flea Theater in Tribeca, New York.

‘Roses’ is an intensely emotional love song, so Vangeline’s unique form of Japanese butoh is perhaps the most perfect medium of dance for the music.

I’m so excited and thrilled that Vangeline has chosen to dance to this song.

If you’re in New York, go!!!

Yesterday and today I’ve been working on Cover #2, and also took time out this weekend to go see two shows… Nostalghia and Nora Keyes at HM157, and Hugh Cornwell (The Stranglers) and Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) at the Echoplex. Both were wonderful nights, both inspiring the strings I’m laying down, even though my strings are so gentle and delicate, and well, the show last night at least was definitely not! But having time out and enjoying other musicians’ visions led to my own vision being strengthened.

And to dreams, or are they really downloads?

A lucid dream of Morocco, where I was eating pistachios ripe and picked off the tree, basking in warm sunshine, being held in warm arms. And I heard the opening to Cover #2 exactly as it should be notated.

Love it when I’m gifted music from angels…
