David J (Bauhaus / Love & Rockets) has created a work of beauty based on the concept of death and mortality. Ysanne’s violin, viola, cello, autoharp and bowed Tibetan singing bowls are to be heard throughout the album. Released November 1st 2011 through Starry Records and St Rose Records.
Smashing Pumpkins – Teargarden by Kaleidyscope
The new Smashing Pumpkins album, comprising 44 songs to be released in batches of 4 songs on 11 E.P’s. The first E.P. is released May 26, 2010, and is named ‘Volume 1: Songs for a Sailor’. Two of the four songs have Ysanne’s strings in the mix.

Dub Gabriel feat. Michael Stipe (R.E.M.) – Cheree
Michael Stipe from REM sings a Suicide track called ‘Cheree’, produced by Dub Gabriel. Ysanne arranged the strings, contracted the string players for the recording, and plays solo improvised violin counter-melodies to Michael’s passionate vocal. The project was produced and conceived by Dub Gabriel in New York and San Francisco, and engineered by Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Bill Laswell) in San Francisco, December 2007.
Smashing Pumpkins – Superchrist
7 minute rock track called ‘Superchrist’, features Ysanne’s strings in the instrumental break. Recorded in Los Angeles, January 2008. Hear this track in the video.
Seminal 60′s Los Angeles band who were contemporaries with The Doors. Front man Sky Saxon coined the term ‘Flower Power’. Ysanne has played solo violin, viola and electric violin for four new tracks Sky co-wrote with Billy Corgan. Powerful psychedelic rock.
Ysanne played acoustic and electric violin and viola for UK artist Traverso’s recordings in Malibu, California, produced by Clif Norrell (REM, Jeff Buckley, Sting).
Jason Heath and the Greedy Souls – A Fighter’s Lullaby
Published by Universal, Jason’s songwriting has earned him props from legends like Wayne Kramer from MC5. Their title track, A Fighter’s Lullaby, was featured by Bruce Springsteen during his SuperBowl set at half time. It’s a classic song, with tear-jerking strings from Ysanne.
